Kailani Surfboards Now Available with VF5 Technology: Lighter, Stronger, Built to Last
Oceanside, September 1, 2025
At Kailani Surfboards, performance has always been at the core of what we do. All our boards are crafted inside 760 Glassing Co., which is part of the same company, ensuring the highest level of quality control and innovation. Thanks to this integration, every Kailani model — including Rafael “Nono” Pereira’s Flying Diamond Pro — can now be built using the groundbreaking VF5 Technology.
VF5 combines proprietary fiberglass, epoxy resin, and vacuum bagging to create boards that are lighter, stronger, and more responsive than standard PU/EPS constructions. The system locks in flex, prevents delamination and buckling, and reduces excess resin, resulting in boards that maintain their high-performance feel for much longer.
One of the biggest advantages of VF5 is its customizable lamination process. Depending on your surfing style and durability needs, you can choose from three glass schedules:
VF5.1 – Team Light: The lightest possible construction for high-performance surfers, feather-light but still stronger than traditional glassing.
VF5.2 – Balanced Performance: The standard layup, blending light weight and responsiveness with added durability and resistance to dents and breakage.
VF5.3 – Maximum Durability: Reinforced for surfers who push their boards to the limit, with extra strength to prevent buckling and breakage.
With VF5, your Kailani board isn’t just a surfboard — it’s a performance machine engineered for strength, speed, and longevity. Whether you’re chasing podium finishes or simply want a board that lasts, VF5 technology delivers the next level of innovation in surfboard construction.
